Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 15, 2026 · Last updated: July 15, 2026

Swagg Brown (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website swaggbrown.com, the Online DJ studio, account services, and related applications. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Summary

  • Your music files and DJ workspace stay on your device whenever possible. We do not host or store your audio library on our servers.
  • When you connect cloud storage (Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive), we use official OAuth sign-in. We store encrypted access tokens so you can browse and import files. Imported audio is streamed to your browser only.
  • We collect account information (such as email and username) to provide subscriptions, support, and security.
  • We do not sell your personal information.

Information We Collect

Account information

When you create an account or sign in, we may collect:

  • Name, username, and email address
  • Password (stored using industry-standard hashing; we never store plain-text passwords)
  • Subscription and billing status
  • Profile information you choose to provide (DJ profile, bio, links, photos)

Usage and technical information

We may automatically collect:

  • Browser type, device type, and general usage data
  • IP address and session information for security, fraud prevention, and sign-in activity
  • Error and performance logs needed to operate and improve the service
  • Cookie and session identifiers required for authentication

Music and DJ workspace data

The Online DJ application stores your library references, playlists, crates, settings, and workspace state locally in your browser (IndexedDB and related browser storage) unless you explicitly use a server-side feature such as a saved machine-state snapshot (admins only) or cloud import. We do not upload or permanently store your music files on Swagg Brown servers as part of normal library use.

AI stem separation (optional)

AI Stems is an optional feature. When you choose to process a track, you give a one-time authorization on your account, and the audio file is uploaded temporarily to our servers and passed to a trusted audio-processing provider to create the separated stems (vocals, drums, bass, instruments) plus key and tempo analysis. The original upload is not kept. The resulting stems are cached on our servers for a limited retention period so the same track does not need to be processed (or charged) again; cached stems are automatically deleted after a period of inactivity. Tracks you never send to AI Stems are never uploaded.

Cloud storage connections

If you choose to connect Google Drive, Dropbox, or Microsoft OneDrive:

  • You sign in directly on the provider’s official website. We never see or store your cloud account password.
  • We store encrypted OAuth access and refresh tokens, your connected account email/name, connection status, and metadata about files you browse or import.
  • When you import a track, the file is streamed from the provider to your browser for local playback. It is not saved on our servers.
  • We may record which folders you mark for sync and basic file metadata (name, size, modified date) to support import features.

Payment information

Subscriptions are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). Payment card details are handled by the payment processor and are not stored on Swagg Brown servers.

Communications

If you contact us by email or through support forms, we keep the content of your message and contact details so we can respond and maintain support records.

Google API Services & User Data

Swagg Brown’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

When you connect Google Drive, we request permission to read your Drive files so you can browse folders and import audio into your local library. Specifically:

  • We use Google user data only to provide the cloud import features you request.
  • We do not use Google user data for advertising.
  • We do not sell Google user data.
  • We do not use Google user data to build unrelated user profiles.
  • Human access to Google user data is limited to security, compliance, and support needs, and only with appropriate authorization.

You can disconnect Google Drive at any time in Library → Cloud Storage → Disconnect, or revoke access from your Google Account permissions page.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Swagg Brown website and applications
  • Authenticate users and manage accounts, subscriptions, and billing
  • Enable optional cloud storage import features you choose to use
  • Send service, security, and billing-related communications
  • Monitor for abuse, protect against fraud, and enforce our terms
  • Improve reliability, performance, and user experience
  • Comply with legal obligations

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in these situations:

  • Service providers: trusted vendors that help us operate the service (for example hosting, email delivery, payment processing, and cloud OAuth providers). They may use data only to perform services for us.
  • Legal requirements: when required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to continued protection of your information.
  • With your direction: when you choose to make profile information public or share content through social profile features.

Data Retention

We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including:

  • Account data is kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward.
  • Encrypted cloud connection tokens are deleted when you disconnect a provider.
  • Security and billing records may be retained longer where required by law or for dispute resolution.
  • Local browser data (library, settings, recordings) remains on your device until you clear it.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information, including encrypted cloud tokens, secure sessions, HTTPS transport, access controls, and rate limiting. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data using industry-standard practices.

Your Choices & Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your account information
  • Disconnect cloud providers and revoke third-party access
  • Export or manage local workspace data stored in your browser
  • Opt out of non-essential marketing emails where offered
  • Request information about how your data is used
