When you grab the platter, the audio engine hands the groove to your hand instantly, exactly the way a real needle follows a real record.
Scratch gestures Swagg Brown supports
- Baby scratches — quick forward-back nudges over a hot cue point.
- Backspins — hard reverse spins that coast back to speed on release.
- Chirp / stab — short forward pushes with the crossfader closed.
- Vinyl brake — release the platter mid-play for a controlled stop.
- Stutter — hold the STUTTER button for a machine-gun repeat of the current beat, locked to the grid.
Slip mode & Key Lock
With Slip mode engaged, scratch and stab cues freely — releasing snaps the deck back to where the track would have been. It's how you drop back into the beat perfectly after any scratch sequence.
Key Lock keeps the musical key steady when you ride the tempo fader, but it disengages instantly the moment you grab the platter — scratching always sounds like natural vinyl, exactly like Serato.
How the platter feels
The audio worklet uses a hybrid velocity + position servo so the platter position stays glued to your hand even under sudden stops. That means:
- Grab-stops land where your hand lands (no coasting past).
- Fast backspins release into a natural weighted coast, not a hard cut.
- Cue stabs are sample-accurate.
Controller support
